Psychiatrist specializing in addiction and complex trauma, with more than 10 years of international and local experience. He served as senior psychiatrist at the National Drug Agency (NDA) in the Maldives and is continuing advanced clinical training in the Egyptian Fellowship in Psychiatry at Abbasia Hospital, Cairo.
He holds international certification from the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM), advanced clinical training from Harvard Medical School in treating borderline personality disorder and addiction, an international diploma in Schema Therapy from ISST, international training in EMDR and somatic trauma therapy, and advanced training in CBT, DBT and complex trauma.
He has served as medical director and deputy director of Shebin El-Kom Hospital for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, and as head of inpatient services and of the addiction unit at the General Secretariat of Mental Health hospitals. His clinical work covers mood disorders and depression, psychosis, OCD, anxiety, eating disorders, personality disorders, trauma, and addiction and dual diagnosis.
